Citation standards - ČSN ISO 690 (only for students of the USB)
Annotation:
In the practical seminar, you will get to know the basic terms and principles of citation, which you need to know when writing professional texts, seminar papers and theses in an academic environment.
You will learn why it is necessary to cite, what is the difference between a quotation and a paraphrase, for which information you must cite the source you took it from, and you will also learn to create the basic structure of a citation according to the relevant citation standard.
At the end of the seminar, you will learn how to cite the most used sources of information - e.g. article, picture, final thesis, etc.
Before participating in the seminar, please find out which citation standard is used in your faculty/department!
