Your CV or how not to drown in it (workshop for the public)

A CV is your first calling card when looking for a job – but how do you create one that really stands out among dozens of others? Come to a practical workshop at the Career Centre of the University of Ljubljana, where you can expect an hour and a half full of tips and tricks on how to create a professional, tailor-made CV. You will learn what should definitely not be missing from a CV, how to structure it and what to avoid in order to increase your chances of success.

The workshop will be led by Alena Čarvašová, an experienced lecturer at the Career Centre of the University of Ljubljana, who will share her know-how and specific examples from practice.

A CV is often the first step to your dream job – and that is why it is important that it looks professional, clear and attractive at first glance. At the practical workshop of the Career Center of the University of Bratislava, you will learn in an hour and a half how to create a CV that will not stand out among the rest for HR professionals.

Together we will go over:

• what should not be missing from a CV and what is unnecessary,
• how to adapt a CV to a specific position,
• how to write about your skills and experience in a way that makes them seem convincing,
• how to avoid the most common mistakes, and we will also look at modern trends and visual design.

The workshop will be led by Alena Čarvašová from the Career Center of the University of Bratislava, who will guide you through creating a CV step by step and offer specific tips and inspiration from practice.
