The hunger for safety: Preventing eating disorders
Annotation:
The conference responds to the alarming increase in eating disorders among children. This situation calls for a review of existing preventive strategies. Schools, which may unknowingly contribute to the development of these disorders, are also key venues for systemic change. Schools should be active players in prevention and create an environment in which discussions with students about the risks of the problem strengthen their well-being. Children should be active partners in finding solutions.
The conference is intended for teaching and non-teaching staff and professionals working with children, whether directly in schools or leisure or support activities.
