Archaeology of wood

Wood is the most commonly used raw material. The aim of the course is to outline the different aspects of its use by different human communities and the changes in the human relationship with the forest. The course will emphasize the principles of interdisciplinary methods and the ability to interpret their results. In particular, issues related to research on firewood composition, forest craft operations, wooden movable artifacts, buildings, structures, and infrastructure. 

Each participant will receive an email 3-5 days prior to class with all relevant information.
