Annotation:
Course participants will be introduced to the current trends and knowledge of archaeology and the possibilities that the study of material and environmental sources brings to the knowledge of the past. Thematically, the course is not limited to the history of prehistoric times, but presents archaeology as a field that also contributes to the knowledge of younger or even modern history. Emphasis is placed on the application of knowledge in teaching at secondary schools and available information resources that can be used in education.
The course is intended primarily for history teachers at secondary schools in the Czech Republic. Due to the focus on cross-cutting topics, it is also suitable for biology teachers.
The course is offered as part of the project NPO - Transformation USB, reg. no. - NPO_JČU_MSMT - 16608/2022.
