Contemporary Literature in English.

The aim of the course is to introduce the participants to contemporary English literature (British, Irish, American) - the course focuses on literature published since the 1980s, covers the main tendencies and also deals with the issue of translation into Czech and reception in our environment. Chronologically constructed, the course is divided into several thematic areas, including - for example - the increasing thematization of history, the influence of autobiography, and the combination of the novel and the essay.

The course is offered as part of the project NPO - Transformation USB, reg. no. - NPO_JČU_MSMT - 16608/2022.
