Annotation:
The participants of this course will be introduced to the current trends of archival pedagogy and education trough a set of PR methods known as „Open Archive“. These methods use the traditional ways of PR as well as the help of digital technologies, modern media and various interactive outputs for the presentation of cultural and historical national heritage. The events prepared in this way are usually aimed at the public as well as school youth and students, and present one of the most accessible ways of familiarizing the wide public with the historical sources and with all the wealth of cultural and historical heritage preserved in archives. The participants of this course will also get to know other possibilities of archival pedagogy when using it in the framework educational programs (e. g. history, historical and social sciences, civic education etc.). During eight lessons, the lecturers will introduce them to the possibilities of these procedures (e. g. workshops, exhibitions, interactive games, work with historical sources, special books etc.) for teaching in schools, using special exemples of archives activities in abroad and in the Czech republic.
The course is offered as part of the project NPO - Transformation USB, reg. no. - NPO_JČU_MSMT - 16608/2022.
