English language, University of the Third Age (Advanced)

This course is intended for students of the University of the Third Age who have some exposure to the English language and possess the following knowledge: the past tense, the present perfect tense, the passive voice, and modal verbs. The goal of the course is to practice English for everyday situations, with a particular focus on conversation.

Note: Lessons are conducted with consideration for the students’ needs and pace, with an emphasis on practical examples and an individualized approach.

Dates: September 25 – December 11, 2026 (12 lessons) and February 5 – April 30, 2027 (12 lessons), from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m.

Lesson 11: Abbreviations – English abbreviations commonly used in everyday life

Lesson 12: Decision-making in critical situations, passive voice, indicative mood

Lesson 13: Public Announcements in English, present continuous tense, questions, negatives

Lesson 14: Money and Shopping, passive voice, simple past tense

Lesson 15: Social Media and AI – passive voice, past tense
