What is true wealth? Is it money, treasures... or something entirely different? The day camp at the Faculty of Economics at the University of South Bohemia takes children on an adventurous journey to discover the various forms of wealth—from friendship, joy, and health to the worlds of finance, nature, and knowledge.
During the week, children will try out a wide range of playful and educational activities, including this year’s new feature—a block of activities in English. They will learn to discover their strengths, participate in team quizzes on sustainability, and become language detectives and explorers of global flavors. They can look forward to games, puzzles, a treasure hunt, mapping their own “wealth,” and fun activities that develop logic, creativity, and teamwork.
The program also includes a full-day trip to the Trocnov Archaeological Open-Air Museum, a visit to a chemistry lab and a virtual reality classroom, a tour of a fire station, and an interactive exhibition that will introduce children to the world of people with disabilities from a new perspective.
The camp will show children that wealth comes in many forms—and that the most valuable things are often not carried in our wallets, but within ourselves.
The day camp is designed for children ages 7–12. The price includes the program, admission, and all-day meals, including drinks.

Monday: The Wealth Within Us and Around Us
We’ll start the week by discovering what’s most valuable—the wealth we carry within ourselves. Through play, the children will realize that joy, relationships, peace of mind, and health are often more valuable than material possessions. They will learn to manage their emotions, create their own “secret weapons” for handling challenging situations, and understand that true value comes from balance and self-care.
In the next part of the morning, we’ll focus on the world around us—natural, social, and economic values—and explore why it’s important to treat them responsibly and sustainably. Through quizzes and team challenges, the children will practice thinking about consumption and the impacts of their daily decisions.
We’ll spend the afternoon outdoors with team games, physical activities, and group challenges that foster cooperation, friendship, and the joy of movement. The children will discover that active time spent together is among the most valuable things we have.

Tuesday: A Journey Through the Story of Values
We’ll set out on a full-day trip to the Trocnov Archaeological Open-Air Museum, where we’ll follow in the footsteps of history and learn what shaped the lives of our ancestors. A day in nature will offer not only new knowledge but also shared experiences that will become an unforgettable part of the entire week.
Wednesday: The Richness of the World and Its Cultures
On Wednesday, we’ll embark on an imaginary journey around the world. The children will participate in language games and, through a tablet challenge and a memory game, discover historical landmarks, cuisines from around the world, and regional specialties, while learning about cultural diversity.
The program will also include the game Coffee Heroes, in which children will take on the role of coffee farmers in Latin America. They will practice decision-making, planning, and handling unexpected situations, and discover the importance of cooperation and a responsible approach to nature and business in the spirit of Fairtrade principles.
In the next session, children will expand their English vocabulary in a fun way. An adventurous treasure hunt awaits them, as well as the creation of their own map of what is truly important to them. At the end, they will receive an English Explorer diploma.
In the afternoon, we’ll explore the world of science during a visit to a virtual reality classroom and a laboratory at the Faculty of Science, where children will, for example, learn how to inflate a balloon without blowing into it, build a vitamin-powered rocket, release a ghost from a flask, and decipher messages written in secret code.
*
Thursday: The Richness of Life and Empathy
In the morning, we’ll visit a fire station, where the children will learn the importance of courage, cooperation, and helping others.
In the afternoon, they will participate in the interactive exhibition “People Next Door” at the South Bohemian Museum. Through hands-on experiences, they will better understand the challenges faced by people with disabilities and realize the importance of respect, empathy, and mutual support.
*
Friday: Wealth as Knowledge and Adventure
To wrap up the week, we’ll focus on the world of finance and money management. The children will learn where wealth comes from, what it takes to maintain it, and that wealth isn’t just about money, but also about decisions, responsibility, and knowledge.
The program will conclude with an adventure game called “Decoding the Treasure,” in which they will use logical thinking, teamwork, and creativity to uncover the path to the hidden treasure.
